Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Benefits Support Staff (Public Benefit Specialist, Entry) to greet clients, manage inquiries, and support eligibility and benefits processing. You will work with diverse communities, document interactions, and operate multiple agency systems in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of reception or call center experience with high-volume data entry.
• OR an associate degree in Behavioral/Social Science with six months of relevant experience.
• Equivalent education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk help, answer calls, and guide clients to services.
• Support Tribal and Native communities with resources and consultation.
• Process mail, transfers, and emails; schedule appointments.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy; document interactions.
• Maintain organized records in ONE and TRACS systems.
