Job summary

Midway Products Group, INC. is seeking a 1st Shift Team Leader to oversee setup and safe operation of the department, coordinate meeting production schedules and quality goals, and guide the team to continuous improvement. You will mentor staff, verify machine parameters, and ensure TS16949 compliance while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to attend a vocational program for training including Positive Leadership, Quick Die Change, Team Building, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen participation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee setup and safe operation of the department; delegate authority while maintaining control.
• Organize department to meet production schedules and quality goals; coordinate individuals and the team.
• Be knowledgeable in equipment, processes and tools; work with other teams to ensure efficient operation of cells and plant.
• Complete paperwork accurately (up-time sheets, production reports, tags, checklists, Pareto charts, efficiency reports).
• Lead daily team meetings; coordinate rotation of job assignments and evaluate performance per schedule.
• Promote teamwork, quality, safety, and housekeeping; maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist Area Manager in cost-saving ideas and implementation; address operational and quality issues.
