Job summary

The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC in San Diego, CA is seeking a compassionate Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team. You will support case management from intake to settlement and work closely with clients and attorneys.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of pre-litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. This is a full-time role offering growth, a team environment, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies.
• 2-5 years of pre-litigation case management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent telephone customer service etiquette and active listening skills.
• Superior time management and ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written) and organization skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace.
• CASEpeer/Filevine experience a plus.
• Team-oriented and independently capable.
• Maintains consistent attendance to support the team's productivity.
• A strong desire to expand knowledge of personal injury law.
• Pay commensurate with experience ($25.00 - $30.00 an hour).

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients and guide them through intake to settlement.
• Monitor cases by verifying client attendance and communicating treatments and responses.
• Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress.
• Communicate client progress through weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations.
• Request medical records; mail, scan and track government claim forms; manage resolution of property damage claims.
• Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence.
• Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation.
• Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
