Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Mount Airy, NC. The schedule runs Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch, and Tuesday 11:00am – 8:00pm with a 1-hour lunch.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary blood collection, processing and arranging specimens, data entry, billing, and maintaining logs. Strong customer service and bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
