Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish phlebotomist to join our Washington, DC team. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, data entry and patient service, with a 2:00pm–6:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays as assigned.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. Travel to additional sites may be required and a color-blindness test may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual English Spanish.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Travel to additional site as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
