Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures in Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires careful preparation of the donor, equipment, and environment, with strict adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.

The successful candidate will monitor the donor, respond to alarms, record data, and maintain clear communication with staff. Bilingual English/Spanish and basic math skills are essential, with flexibility in availability for operational coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents with the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
