Job summary

Tempus Unlimited is seeking a Skills Trainer for the Personal Care Attendant Program in the Longmeadow, MA area. The role requires travel within a 60-mile radius and a valid driver's license to support consumer-directed PCA services.

The position is full-time (35 hours/week) with an 8:30 am–4:30 pm schedule. Mileage reimbursement is provided, and bilingual English is preferred. Training occurs in Stoughton, MA, with a 2-day orientation and 2–3 weeks of training.

Qualifications

• Experience providing services for people with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCA programs is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and the ability to navigate databases.
• Specialized training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned functional skills training in a timely manner.
• Assess consumers and/or surrogate's ability to manage PCA services.
• Train consumer and/or surrogate with the skills needed to manage their PCA program as outlined in the contract.
• Maintain confidentiality in all consumer related issues.
• Attend trainings and meetings with supervisor, including monthly 1-1 meetings.
