Job summary

First National Bank Texas is seeking a part-time Personal Banker at our Houston Gessner branch to deliver friendly, attentive service to a diverse customer base.

You will handle cash, process deposits, promote bank products, and cross-sell services while maintaining accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced, Spanish-speaking environment.

This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and a commitment to teamwork and community.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent or currently attending high school.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both Spanish and English.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships to offer bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with the bank and supervisor direction.
• Achieve monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in an active sales environment with in-store aisle prospecting.
• Process deposits and pay out funds, balance each day's operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and check endorsements.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks and IDs.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors related to the bank's functions.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Approval limits based on established authority levels.
