Job summary

GraceMed Health Clinic in Wichita, KS seeks a Call Center Representative who is bilingual to serve as the first contact for patients. You will schedule dental and medical appointments, verify patient information, and ensure accurate registration while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities include handling multi-line calls, editing and rescheduling appointments, and minimizing hold times. Prior call center and medical terminology knowledge is preferred, with EHR experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of customer service and computer experience.
• 2+ years of multi-line telephone experience.
• Additional training and/or experience in call center procedures and medical terminology preferred.
• Previous knowledge of electronic health records system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and route patient calls, register and schedule appointments in the database.
• Respond to patient questions by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments per clinic protocols.
• Remind patients to bring necessary documents, medications, income verification and insurance information.
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage at each visit.
• Minimize hold times and answer calls according to protocol.
• Call and remind patients of upcoming appointments as per protocol.
• Document cancellations and no-shows per protocol.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in developing and documenting job-related protocols.
• Take patient lists home when weather threatens appointments, canceling or rescheduling as needed.
