Job summary

The PSR will handle calls, inform patients, collect co-pays, and support providers with administrative tasks to maintain smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in clerical/administrative functions in healthcare or medical office preferred.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments and reschedule no-shows.
• Verify insurance information through managed care website.
• Register patients and assign PCP when applicable; update demographics.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Collect co-pays and process payments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide administrative support and maintain charts for the department.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care.
