Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
• Minimum of two (2) years as a Medical Assistant in a clinical team.
• Minimum of two (2) years of insurance verification/authorization experience.
• National phlebotomy certification with venipuncture proficiency.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate high-risk patients undergoing hereditary cancer testing.
• Register patients and coordinate follow-up scheduling.
• Explain procedures and next steps clearly and compassionately.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately.
• Verify patient identity and label specimens correctly.
• Maintain complete patient documentation per policies and privacy laws.
• Ensure a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to complete daily tasks.
