Job summary

Family Choice Management Services (FCMS) in Westminster, CA seeks a Customer Relations Specialist to provide exceptional support to patients, providers, and other stakeholders within the Independent Practice Association. You will assist Medicaid and Medicare patients with inquiries, explain coverage and benefits, and help patients access IPA services.

This role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or with Medicaid/Medicare patients is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls, emails, and other communications from Commercial, Medi-Cal, and Medicare patients, addressing inquiries regarding healthcare services, benefits, and claims.
• Assist patients in understanding insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for Commercial, Medi-Cal and Medicare programs.
• Provide guidance on accessing IPA network services, including scheduling appointments, referrals, and care coordination.
• Handle patient complaints with empathy, resolving billing, claims, and service access issues promptly.
• Collaborate with billing, provider relations, and care management to resolve issues; escalate complex cases as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and generate reports on inquiries and trends.
• Educate patients on preventive care services and resources available through Medicaid/Medicare plans.
