Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time bilingual Customer Service Representative in Bloomington, Illinois. The role uses Spanish and English to welcome patients, answer questions, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and connect patients with needed services.

You will work with a collaborative team in a busy healthcare setting, maintain EMR records, support registration and check-in, and help with daily operations while delivering compassionate, respectful service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service background required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred for communication.
• Healthcare, medical office, patient access, registration, scheduling experience is a plus.
• Experience with EMR, insurance verification, or scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in Spanish or English as appropriate.
• Answer calls, respond to questions, and connect callers to staff.
• Assist Spanish-speaking patients with registration and scheduling.
• Collect and verify demographic, financial, insurance information.
• Check in/out, process forms, consents, and signatures.
• Verify insurance and update EMR; communicate fees and collect payments.
• Maintain confidentiality and support team operations.
