Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Bilingual Customer Service Representative in Bloomington, Illinois. You’ll welcome patients, answer questions, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and help connect people with the services they need in both Spanish and English.

This role requires patient, respectful communication, strong organization, and confidentiality in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service background required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English preferred.
• Healthcare, medical office, patient access, registration, scheduling, or similar experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, answer questions, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and connect callers with the appropriate staff.
• Check patients in/out, complete forms, and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Update EMR, coordinate with staff, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy in records.
• Assist with language needs and provide backup support to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence with dignity, respect, and compassion.
