Job summary

HealthNet seeks a Patient Access Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients, handling calls and in-person visits at our Indianapolis location. You will assess needs, schedule appointments, register patients, and guide them through transportation and resources.

Strong communication and data accuracy are essential, with bilingual Spanish preferred. Role requires multitasking in a busy setting, ability to work efficiently, and adherence to ADA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• No work visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as first point of contact by phone or in person.
• Assess patient needs and determine if triage by nurse is required or schedule appointments.
• Complete registrations and pre-registrations accurately for patients.
• Schedule patient appointments and provide directions to health center locations.
• Assist patients with transportation arrangements via insurance provider when needed.
• Provide patients with educational materials and general information.
• Enter data for time audits and track patient visit/no-show metrics.
