HealthNet in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Interpreter/Registration to support non-English speaking patients by translating Spanish and acting as a liaison with the organization. The role also handles patient intake, scheduling, and basic front-office tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, Spanish translation experience in medical settings, and willingness to pursue translation certification. Travel to other centers may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge and experience translating Spanish in a medical setting.
• Must be or willing to be certified in translation.
• Not sponsoring for work visa.

Responsibilities

• Translate English for Spanish patients and families.
• Serve as liaison between non-English speaking communities and HealthNet.
• Respond to language interpreting and communication concerns for patients.
• Assist in collecting patient information.
• Support in financial screening, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, assisting in cashier and medical records areas.
• Provide culture education to other employees.
