Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• 1–3 years of medical office experience recommended.
• Familiarity with medical billing and patient financial interactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments, registrations, check-in and check-out.
• Registers patients according to guidelines at service time.
• Explains required forms and documents at registration.
• Provides way finding and general assistance to patients and visitors.
• Manages waitlist and backfills open appointment slots.
• Records no-shows and cancellations in the EHR system.
• Maintains and updates patient information in the EHR.
• Provides eligibility information to patients.
• Handles daily cash collection and reconciliation of cash drawer.
• Documents communications and actions in the EHR when routing referrals.
• Acts as patient advocate and supports clinic mission and guidelines.
