Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-quality service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management in daily tasks.

Ideal candidates may be bilingual and have ASE certification, with experience in customer service and automotive parts knowledge. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, handling phones, processing payments, and performing in-store service tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g. Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving the professional customers as needed and directed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone by answering all calls according to company policy, looking up parts and quoting prices.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks such as returns to the distribution center and inventory cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services for customers where allowed by state/local laws.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
