Job summary

Child & Family Services, Inc. seeks a full-time Parent Educator to implement the PAT model, focusing on parent-child interaction and development-centered parenting for family well-being. Sessions use the PAT curriculum with flexibility in schedule.

Candidates fluent in Haitian Creole are required, with a Bachelor’s in Education/Social Work or related field. Travel is required; compensation varies with role eligibility and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work or related field (or equivalent outside the United States).
• Must complete the Parents as Teachers Foundational and Model Implementation Trainings before delivering PAT services.
• Must be fluent in Haitian Creole.

Responsibilities

• Engage in recruitment activities (as applicable)
• Complete initial and annual family-centered assessments
• Develop, monitor and review goals with each family
• Provide personal visits focused on parent-child interactions and family well-being
• Use the PAT Foundational curriculum to share information with families
• Complete initial and annual development screenings and health reviews
• Connect families to resources to meet their goals
• Help families transition to other services as needed
• Maintain and submit all required family and program documentation
• Organize and inventory supplies/materials
• Participate in reflective supervision and staff meetings
• Obtain competency-based professional development and renew certification
• Participates in continuous quality improvement
• Other duties as needed
