Job summary

The Whole Child Mental Health in West Covina, CA is seeking a full-time Parent Educator to visit families under the Parents as Teachers (PAT) guidelines. You will deliver services to families with young children and ensure parents are empowered with evidence-informed strategies to support safe, nurturing home environments.

The role requires visiting families, maintaining caseloads, adhering to PAT requirements, and participating in professional development and community outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years’ experience with young children/parents.
• PAT National Center certification annually (provided by agency).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the program’s core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal visits with expectant parents and young children using PAT curricula.
• Maintain a caseload of up to 20-30 active clients.
• Meet productivity standards: up to 40 visits/month in year 1 and up to 60 visits/month later.
• Submit visit notes within 3 business days in the EHR (SFDB/Penelope).
• Engage in outreach activities and community events to maintain referrals.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
