Job summary

Good Samaritan Community Services seeks a Parent Educator to implement the PAT model, focusing on parent-child interaction and family well-being. You will conduct home visits, screen children, and connect families with community resources while using the PAT Foundational Curriculum in a culturally sensitive way.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Early Childhood Education, and 1+ year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Social Work or Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred, per business needs.
• At least 1 year of supervised experience with parents and families at risk or from diverse backgrounds required.
• Current and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate adherence to the CORE values of Good Samaritan Community Services.
• Plan for and conduct home visits with assigned clients, virtually or on campus.
• Deliver parenting education using the PAT Foundational Curriculum.
• Conduct developmental screenings and administer parenting inventories at enrollment and intervals.
• Connect families to community resources and document interactions in PIERS.
• Lead monthly Group Connection meetings and participate in outreach activities.
