Job summary

Bodor Laser is seeking an Online Service Engineer (Bilingual in Mandarin) to support U.S. and global customers from our Schaumburg, IL office.

The role includes extensive field service travel during training (roughly 75%+ across the United States) before transitioning to remote online support. Ideal candidates have a technical degree, 2+ years in customer or technical service for industrial equipment, and fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 2 years in customer support or technical service for industrial equipment.
• Native English, bilingual in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
• Strong remote troubleshooting, documentation, and CRM familiarity.
• Ability to work across U.S. and China time zones.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary online contact for U.S. and Canada region customers and distributors.
• Diagnose and resolve product issues via remote troubleshooting with engineering teams.
• Provide guidance on spare parts ordering and coordinate with logistics.
• Deliver remote technical training on machine operation and safety.
• Log service records in CRM/ticketing systems and ensure timely closure.
