Job summary

Bodor Laser USA in Schaumburg, IL seeks an Online Support Engineer with at least 1 year experience in customer or equipment support, native English and Mandarin fluency, and a technical bachelor’s degree. You will troubleshoot remotely, provide training, and support global customers from our Schaumburg office.

The program includes structured training (6 months to 1 year), extensive travel within the United States during training, and eventual transition to remote technical support for on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer support or technical service.
• Native English proficiency and bilingual fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, especially in remote support settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary online contact for U.S. and Canada customers and distributors, handling after-sales technical support inquiries via phone calls.
• Diagnose and resolve product issues through remote troubleshooting with service and engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance on spare parts identification and ordering processes; coordinate with logistics for fulfillment.
• Deliver remote technical training to customers and partners on machine operation and maintenance.
• Log and maintain service records in CRM or ticketing systems and ensure timely follow-up.
• Coordinate with R&D and production to relay customer feedback across time zones.
