Job summary

Twin Pines is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for Clarkson Apartments in Brooklyn, NY. This on-site role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and handles day-to-day tasks, preventive maintenance, and unit turnover with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on maintenance background, strong communication skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while supporting emergencies and on-call needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing general maintenance or repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Bilingual proficiency required.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to support on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, HVAC support as qualified).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine corrective actions.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and emergency repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs and inspections.
• Maintain common areas and building systems to company standards.
• Identify and report safety hazards promptly.
• Respond to on-call maintenance emergencies as scheduled.
• Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and staff; communicate with residents about timelines.
