Job summary

Latinochambermn in Brooklyn Center, MN is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for a 128-unit apartment community near Topgolf. The role involves day-to-day maintenance, apartment turns, painting, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, and responding to after-hours emergencies.

This full-time position offers a guaranteed 40 hours per week, with tools provided and potential onsite rent discount; bilingual English/Spanish required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• General handyman or apartment-maintenance experience.
• Experience with apartment turns and painting preferred.
• Ability to recognize when a licensed contractor is needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident maintenance work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform apartment turnover work between residents with vendor support as needed.
• Patch and repair drywall, paint apartments, and complete basic carpentry and handyman repairs.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs (toilets, faucets, disposals, leaks) and basic electrical maintenance.
• Replace and troubleshoot basic appliances, fixtures, and hardware; handle doors and blinds.
• Conduct daily boiler checks during heating season; coordinate with vendors for major issues.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and future maintenance planning.
• Maintain common areas and exterior; clean as needed.
• Identify repairs requiring licensed contractors and communicate needs to the Property Manager.
• Occasionally pick up maintenance materials from local suppliers.
• Inform the Property Manager of completed and pending work orders.
