Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required for patient interactions.
• Minimum 12 years in medical scheduling, intake, or related office work.
• Preferred Workers’ Compensation knowledge and RFAs/UR processes.
• Experience with EHR systems and office collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals from insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, and employers.
• Coordinate scheduling and gather medical records for initial evaluation.
• Verify claim status, jurisdiction, and billing details; obtain authorizations.
• Coordinate with Orthopedics, Spine, Pain Management, Neurology, and PT.
• Communicate intake requirements in English and Spanish with stakeholders.
• Monitor referrals to meet state and network turnaround requirements.
• Provide updates to adjusters, nurse case managers, and attorneys as needed.
• Identify missing documentation and prevent delays in patient care.
