Amarillo Independent School District is seeking a Migrant Recruiter to identify and enroll eligible children of migratory agricultural workers into the Migrant Education Program. The role requires fluent bilingual communication, travel for home visits, and collaboration with district staff.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English required.
• Two years of study at an institution of higher learning or an Associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and recruit eligible migrant children within the school district by establishing communication networks and following up to assess eligibility for the Migrant Education program.
• Conduct home visits to identify and recruit eligible migrant students including preschool age children.
• Inform parents of available school and social service programs based on family needs.
• Provide classroom support to students by assisting with their learning needs.
