Job summary

First Medical Associates is seeking a professional Medical Receptionist for our Columbia office. You will be the first point of contact, handling check-in/check-out, scheduling, and general inquiries with a patient‑centered approach.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required to assist a diverse patient base. Experience with Athenahealth EMR and a friendly, detail-oriented attitude will support a smooth clinic flow and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English required to effectively serve a diverse patient population.
• Past experience as a medical receptionist or similar role preferred.
• Tech-savvy with electronic medical records and check-in systems.

Responsibilities

• Patient Check-In/Check-Out using electronic system and accurate data entry.
• Appointment Scheduling and managing waiting room flow.
• Greet and assist patients with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Provide bilingual support to Spanish-speaking patients.
• Update records in Athenahealth EMR and assist staff as needed.
