Job summary

Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches is seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Receptionist to greet patients, verify insurance, and manage appointments in a busy Palm Springs office. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, solid data entry, and handling patient records with confidentiality.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of medical office experience and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes. Competitive benefits include health coverage, PTO and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical insurance billing, and computer systems is preferred.
• Billing and coding education or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, and Athena software is a plus.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to be flexible and handle interruptions or unexpected situations with patience and professionalism.
• Discretion with confidential patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with sign-in.
• Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information.
• Ensure correct referrals for HMO patients.
• Direct new patients to complete paperwork and file it in charts.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and route to staff as needed.
• Update sign-in sheet and patient charts; prepare charts for the Medical Assistant.
• Enter demographic data into the computer system; file end-of-day disclosures.
• Pull patient charts for incoming faxes and manage handling.
• Perform additional administrative duties to support office operations.
