Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches is seeking a detail-oriented bilingual Medical Receptionist in Palm Springs, FL. The role greets patients, verifies insurance and demographics, ensures referrals, and manages appointment scheduling.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a medical office, strong communication, and proficiency with typing and computer systems; familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 and Athena software is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical insurance billing, and computer systems preferred.
• Billing and coding education or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, and Athena software is a plus.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle interruptions with patience and professionalism.
• Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as they arrive and assist them in signing in.
• Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information.
• Ensure that HMO patients have the correct referral for their visit.
• Direct new patients to complete necessary paperwork and file it appropriately in their charts.
• Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
• Update the sign-in sheet to indicate that the patient's chart is ready for the Medical Assistant.
• Enter and update patient demographic information in the computer system.
• Ensure demographic information is filed properly at the end of the day to be mailed to the charge poster.
• Pull patient charts for incoming faxes and ensure proper handling.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support office operations.
• Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish

Located In: Palm Springs, Florida 33426 Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches is seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance and demographic information, ensuring that all referral requirements are met, and managing appointment scheduling. The Medical Receptionist will provide excellent customer service and ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a dynamic role that requires multitasking, patience, and a steady, productive pace.
