First Physicians is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will play a key role in creating a positive first impression and helping clinics run smoothly each day.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and delivers exceptional customer service. Schedule includes Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude in person and over the phone.
• Check patients in/out, collect copays, and answer balance questions.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments to support clinic operations.
• Register walk-in patients according to office guidelines.
• Enter/update patient demographics, insurance, and records accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage before visits.
• Answer multi-line calls and direct to the right team members.
• Scan IDs, insurance cards, and documents into records.
• Balance daily cash drawer and maintain payment logs.
• Process medical-records requests in line with HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Keep reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth patient experiences.
