St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center in Fullerton is seeking an outstanding Medical Receptionist to join our outpatient clinics. You will greet patients, collect information, schedule visits, and route inquiries in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of reception experience in healthcare, basic cash handling, familiarity with EMR systems, and a patient‑centered approach. This full‑time role supports a collaborative team across our locations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1+ year receptionist experience in outpatient healthcare preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proficient with EMR systems and basic cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and politely; collect required information.
• Register patient, verify demographic and insurance data, and determine PCP.
• Schedule visits and manage ICD-10 codes; confirm/cancel appointments.
• Answer calls, route messages, and handle prescriptions per procedures.
• Assist with billing questions and cash collection; balance cash drawer.
• Support referrals processing and medical records requests as needed.
• Open/close office and maintain front desk workflows.
