St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center in Orange, CA seeks a Medical Receptionist to join our outpatient health center. You will greet patients, collect information, verify insurance, schedule visits, and support billing and front-desk operations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Belongs to a bilingual English/Spanish environment.
• Experience in outpatient healthcare reception preferred; cash handling may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, collect demographics and insurance info and verify eligibility.
• Schedule appointments, manage ICD-10 codes, and update patient records in the EMR.
• Answer phones, route messages, handle prescription refills, and assist with billing questions.
• Collect copays and payments, balance cash drawer, and secure cash following procedures.
• Assist with mobile clinic operations and drive the Mobile Unit at least weekly.
