St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers in Orange, CA seeks a Medical Receptionist to support an outpatient clinic. You will register patients, manage scheduling, handle calls, and assist with billing and referrals while supporting a mobile clinic role at least weekly.

Qualifications include a High School degree or GED, CPR certification, and 1+ year reception experience in healthcare. Bilingual English/Spanish and EMR knowledge are highly valued. Full-time; benefits included.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification (Basic Life Safety) preferred.
• 1+ year receptionist/outpatient healthcare experience recommended.
• Experience with computers/auto scheduling preferred.
• Cash handling experience a plus.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients/visitors and collect registration and insurance information.
• Pre-register new patients; send packets and history forms prior to appointments.
• Schedule visits with ICD-10 codes; manage appointment changes and wait lists.
• Notify clinical staff of patient arrival and direct to appropriate area.
• Answer and route phone calls; handle prescription refill requests per procedures.
• Process end-of-visit check-out; review charges and collect copayments.
• Verify and process patient referrals as needed; assist with medical records requests.
• Open/close the office and secure the facility; report issues to supervisor.
• Operate/drive the Mobile Medical Unit at least weekly.
