Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and a foreign language (Spanish).
• Completion of a registered medical interpreter certificate program (min 40 hours).
• Ability to accurately provide oral and written interpretation services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical terminology in English and a foreign language.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral and limited written foreign language interpretation for patients and families.
• Translate and explain medical information and procedures to patients.
• Direct patients to appointments and assist with forms.
• Interpret questions and instructions between clinicians and patients.
