Banner Staffing Services is seeking a Medical Interpreter to provide English/Spanish interpretation for patients and families across hospital settings in Mesa, AZ. You will facilitate communication between patients and providers from registration through discharge.

Qualifications

• Must possess fluency in English and target language of interpretation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Completion of a Medical Interpreter training program highly preferred.
• One year of interpreter experience required.
• Written and oral language assessment will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for LEP patients and families across hospital interactions.
• Serve as neutral conduit between patients and healthcare staff to ensure clear communication.
• Document accurately all interpretation services.
• Act as cultural mediator to enhance communication relating to medical care.
• Coordinate with supervisor on unusual situations; facility-based with no budget responsibility.
