Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide fluid consecutive or simultaneous interpretation for patients, families, and providers.
• Spot translate brief passages (up to 3 paragraphs) and forward documents for translation.
• Document interpreting encounters in electronic medical records with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with the health system and Interpreter & Translation Services; manage availability and respond to pages within 5 minutes.
• Attend Interpreter & Translation Services meetings and pursue certification/training.
