Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital in Utah is seeking a qualified Medical Interpreter to provide interpretation and translation services across facilities and virtual services. The role supports patients, families, and staff, requiring expertise in medical terminology, HIPAA, and ethical standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 5PM–11:30PM, with a 10% evening shift differential and part-time 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written command of source and target language(s) with healthcare terminology.
• Proficiency in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation with high accuracy.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Interpret medical and general information accurately for patients, families, and staff.
• Translate written material while preserving meaning and localization.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ethical standards in all interpretations.
