Job summary

Nova Spine Center in Northern Virginia is seeking a Bilingual Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support a fast-paced spine surgery practice. The role requires Spanish/English bilingual skills and 2+ years of medical front desk experience.

You will verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, collect payments, manage intake forms, and coordinate with clinical and billing teams. Growth opportunities exist within the practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years front desk experience in a medical office.
• Experience in orthopedic, spine, or surgical practice (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and patient registration workflows.
• Experience with EMR systems (Modmed preferred).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Bilingual (Spanish) required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and required documentation
• Manage incoming calls, scheduling, and appointment confirmations
• Collect copays, balances, and maintain accurate payment records
• Ensure all intake forms and authorizations are completed prior to visits
• Coordinate with clinical staff, providers, and billing department
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage high patient volume while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
