Job summary

Houston Metro Urology is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient service at a busy front desk and ensuring smooth patient flow in a leading urology practice.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of medical terminology experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, plus strong customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred. This is an on-site position in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate service to all patients at the front desk.
• Coordinate patient flow within the clinic, including scheduling, confirming appointments, and check-in/out processes.
• Handle incoming phone calls, respond to messages promptly, and answer inquiries in person, by phone, or via email.
• Maintain an organized, welcoming front desk and reception area.
• Enter and update patient information in the Athena EMR system, ensuring accuracy.
• Verify and collect required documents from new patients prior to appointments and ensure correct data entry.
• Review returning patients' demographics, insurance, and referral details and update as needed.
• Take patient photos for medical records and print daily appointment schedules.
• Support other front office roles as needed.
