Central Jersey Medical Center is seeking a friendly Call Center Representative to handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and coordinate with multiple departments. The role emphasizes accurate data entry and compassionate service.

The candidate should be bilingual in Spanish, have call center or medical office experience, and be able to manage 100–200 calls daily while maintaining high-quality communication and documentation compliance.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish Speaker is required.
• Experience working in a call center or customer-support role or medical office preferred.
• Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills.
• Proficiency in problem-solving.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Basic use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Minimum typing speed of 38-40 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones to respond to inquiries from patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities (100-200 calls per day).
• Knowledge scheduling practices across departments and re-scheduling patient appointments.
• Screening and routing patient calls, ensuring accurate registration and appointment scheduling.
• Taking clear messages on behalf of other departments.
• Responding to patient questions by editing, canceling, and re-scheduling appointments per clinic protocols.
• Reviewing physician schedules to maximize capacity and verify scheduling accuracy.
• Faxing medical records to facilities authorized to receive information.
• Maintain good communication within the department and with other departments to benefit the patient.
• Inform callers of CJMC policies on arrival, documentation, and cancellations/no-shows.
• Other duties as assigned.
