The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish, with prior call center experience and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fast typing are required for efficient data entry and patient support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish speaker is required.
• Experience in a call center or medical office preferred.
• Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills.
• Proficiency in problem-solving.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Basic use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Minimum typing speed of 38-40 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones to respond to inquiries from patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities. Must handle 100-200 incoming calls daily.
• Knowledge scheduling practices across departments and medical center.
• Re-scheduling patient appointments via phone and written notifications.
• Screening and routing calls to departments; ensure correct registration and scheduling.
• Taking clear messages for other departments.
• Responding to patient questions; edit, cancel, re-schedule appointments per clinic protocols.
• Reviewing physician schedules to maximize capacity and verify scheduling accuracy.
• Faxing medical records to authorized facilities.
• Maintain good communication within and across departments for patient benefit.
• Inform callers of CJMC policies on arrival, documents to bring, and cancellation/no-show rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
