Job summary

Frontier Direct Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Arlington, TX clinic. You will educate members on their Frontier benefits, work with paired PCPs, and coordinate care with external service providers to ensure smooth patient experiences.

Role requires ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs, injections, and proficiency with EHR/EMR systems. A current BLS certification and pediatric experience are preferred. On-site teamwork and compassionate patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience in a clinic setting and caring for patients of all ages.
• Proficient with ECG/EKG, phlebotomy, IVs and injections (SC/IM).
• Experience with various EHR/EMR systems and strong communication.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Educate and empower members on how to use their Frontier membership.
• Collaborate with paired PCPs to provide quality care to your patient panel.
• Coordinate provider needs to support patient care and efficiency.
• Coordinate with imaging, labs, or specialists as needed.
• Perform vitals, lab testing, EKGs, phlebotomy and IV procedures.
• Assist with in-office procedures for smooth patient care.
• Welcome members and reassure them as they navigate care.
• Follow up regularly to ensure patients feel cared for and supported.
• Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email to personalize service.
• Restock exam rooms, manage inventory, and keep the clinic organized.
• Represent Frontier Direct Care at community events and outreach.
