Job summary

Englewood Health in Belleville, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join our team on days. Under supervision, you will interview patients, collect demographics and financial information, and support the registration process to ensure smooth flow from waiting area to examination rooms.

The ideal candidate has high school diploma or 5 years MA/PCT experience, CPR certification, and preferably completion of an accredited MA/PCT program.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, or 5 years MA/PCT experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/PCT program preferred.
• Current CPR Certification; CMA/RMA/PCT credentials encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and collect demographics, financial information and IDs.
• Assist with flow of patients from waiting area to exam rooms and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform clerical, secretarial and data-entry tasks for patient registration and records.
• Support physician time efficiency through preparatory work and accurate record keeping.
