Job summary

Englewood Health in Paterson, NJ, seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join the HVA Medical Group. You will support front-line patient flow, perform routine registration tasks, and assist with preparing patients for exams under supervision.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience, CPR certification, and CMA/RMA/PCT credentials. Prior knowledge of Epic and practice management systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/PCT program preferred.
• CPR certification required; CMA/RMA/PCT credentials desirable.
• Experience with Epic or similar practice management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms and prepare patients for procedures.
• Interview patients/representatives to obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Perform routine clerical tasks, data entry, and registration documentation.
• Provide customer assistance and support under supervision; ensure efficient physician time.
