Job summary

Englewood Health in Woodland Park, NJ is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to support patient flow, rooming, and basic data entry. The role requires CPR certification and completion of an accredited MA/PCT program is preferred.

Experience with medical terminology and practice management systems is beneficial. The position is in the Surgical Specialties department, with variable hours and day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required; 5 years MA/PCT experience acceptable.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician program preferred.
• Current CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms and prep patients for the physician.
• Perform routine clerical and registration duties, including telephone reception, data processing, and record keeping.
• Interview patients or their representatives to collect personal, demographic, and insurance information.
