Job summary

Urban Strategies in San Benito, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant for the 2nd shift to coordinate medical services for unaccompanied children. You will work with medical providers, center leadership, and other departments to ensure efficient health care delivery.

The role requires a HS diploma, MA certification, and at least 1 year in child welfare; bilingual in Spanish and English is essential. The position is full-time with a 40-hour workweek and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• MA Certification is required.
• 1 year experience in the child welfare field is preferred.
• Must demonstrate training and leading others, and adapt to diverse situations.
• Clean criminal background check and CAN clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep the UC Portal system.
• Initial medical screening and ongoing health care.
• Health education and outreach.
• Partnerships with external providers and outreach.
• Manage/comply with State and Federal guidelines.
• Provide leadership to youth care staff and ensure quality care.
