Job summary

First Convenience Bank in Texas is seeking a collections specialist to coordinate and manage delinquency resolution. You will negotiate payments and payment arrangements, research loan histories, and educate borrowers on their obligations and the terms of their loans.

You will work directly with the Loan Collection Manager, identify responsible parties, and maintain accurate contact details while ensuring compliance with FDCPA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• At least 2 years of consumer collections in a FDCPA compliant call center.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.

• At least 2 years of consumer collections in a tested FDCPA compliant call center environment.
• Must be fluent in both English and Spanish verbal and written communication
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel

• Must successfully pass background investigation

Job Description

• Work directly with the Loan Collection Manager to coordinate collection workflow activities
• Locate and identify responsible parties through multiple channels and resolve past due amounts by negotiating payments, payment arrangements or other delinquency curing transactions a borrower may be eligible for.
• Identify reason(s) for delinquency.
• Research history on current loans.
• Educate borrowers and co-borrowers about their payment obligation and the terms of their loans.
• Convey the consequences of non-payment to borrowers and co-borrowers.
• Create financial, administrative, and maintenance transactions
• Verify points of contact for borrowers and co-borrowers (addresses, phone numbers, email addresses).
• Maintain an advanced working knowledge of lending products, services and collection practices
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
