TORKLAW is seeking a bilingual Legal Assistant to support pre-litigation personal injury cases from inception through settlement in our Chicago, IL office. The role involves opening and reporting claims, drafting letters, and coordinating with insurers and medical providers to deliver top-tier client service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent education, are proficient with MS Office, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish is required.
• Ideally 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Proficient with standard office productivity software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up new client files.
• Open and report claims to insurance companies.
• Place statutory lien holders on notice.
• Draft representation letters.
• Request police reports and medical records.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters and medical providers.
• Support attorneys, case managers, and team members.
• Provide administrative and case management support as needed.
