Must be willing to obtain a Leasing Agent License and have IP housing tax credit experience. The position is full-time and on-site in Chicago, with a focus on minimizing vacancies, handling annual inspections, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of leasing experience.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Leasing Agent License.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Low Income Housing Tax Credit experience needed.
• Good communication, writing, computer and executive functioning skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Screen applicants for vacant units based on tenant criteria and prepare eligible cases for committees.
• Carry out landlord verifications, home visits, income certifications, and background checks.
• Ensure lease policies are followed and documents reviewed by Leasing Manager.
• Coordinate annual inspections and follow-up for damages and housekeeping issues.
• Manage waitlists with accuracy and update move-ins/move-outs.
• Prepare reports to owners, agencies, funding entities ahead of deadlines.
• Maintain electronic and paper records per HUD/IHDA/tax credit guidelines.
• Staff Appeals Committee meetings and report tenant concerns to Leasing Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
